YARDLEY, PA, January 23, 2007 - Activant Solutions Inc. announced the availability of Activant Acclaim version 17.0. Based on customer requests, the newest version of the UNIX-based enterprise software solution features improved sales tax processing, audit trails for data cleanup, and more.

• Sales Tax Improvements - Users can now edit sales tax settings after items have been entered on an order, and report sales tax by tax jurisdiction for Streamlined Sales Tax programs.
• Audit Trails for Data Cleanup - Enables users to maintain an audit trail showing date, time, and user ID for all data resets, clears, and purges.
• Enhanced Item Lookup - The item lookup has evolved, eliminating item list numbers, improving the data entry mechanism, and offering the ability to link a single item to multiple categories. This feature also simplifies maintenance of item and category data.
• Credit Card Processing Security Improvements - Acclaim now supports Protobase V6, which complies with the latest Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards.
