Members to Help Steer Development of Solutions and Services
YARDLEY, PA, June 8, 2005 - Distributors know best what will help them in their day-to-day operations. Understanding this, Prophet 21 regularly asks distribution leaders to serve on industry advisory councils. These councils meet regularly with Prophet 21 staffers and suggest different features and functionality that will help increase sales, improve customer service, and reduce operating costs.
"The best way to develop the tools distributors need to improve their businesses is to listen and learn from them," said Chuck Boyle, Prophet 21 president and CEO. "Prophet 21 developed CommerceCenter, the leading enterprise software solution for distributors, based on our years of experience working with distributors, and we plan to continue to increase the functionality of CommerceCenter based on our distributors' changing needs."
The Electrical Advisory Council recently held its kick-off meeting at Prophet 21's corporate headquarters in Yardley, PA. In addition to discussing industry trends and business processes, the council will offer feedback and guidance to help Prophet 21 develop even more solutions and services for electrical distributors.
Darren Crandell, operations manager at the Indiana-based Wabash Electric Supply and a member of the council, said that Prophet 21 is unique among solution providers for offering customers such a forum.
"We're all distributors, but business processes vary from industry to industry," said Crandell. "It's great to see that Prophet 21 recognizes and addresses that."

Other members of the council include: William Roeloff, CFO, HH Benfield Electric Supply; Tom Muldoon, president, E.B. Horsman and Son; Bob Brunelle, operations manager, Control Corporation of America; Vincent Nadon, IT manager, Cadillac Electric; and David Adkinson, president, Becker Electric.
