New Release Improves Information Access

Yardley, PA, August 21, 2006 - Activant® announced the availability of Faspac version 5.5. Based on customer requests, the newest version of the UNIX-based enterprise software solution features hazardous substances tracking, streamlined information access and manipulation, and more.

"Activant is pleased to release Faspac 5.5," said Steve McLaughlin, senior vice president and general manager of the wholesale distribution group at Activant. "It is another example of our commitment to developing the solutions our customers rely upon to help streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase sales."

New Features Include:

• Restrictions on the use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) - Understand which tags in your warehouse are RoHS compliant while ensuring your customers get the proper material. Tag condition codes denote whether or not a receipt is RoHS compliant, and whether or not that item requires RoHS compliance.
• Merge/Change Vendor Codes - The short names commonly used to identify vendor codes on information such as buying history can now be used to reflect changes to vendor names. In addition to name changes, this feature uses short names to merge two or more vendor codes.
• Change Salespeople Globally - Updating or editing a salesperson's code no longer requires you to manually modify the individual customer accounts associated with that salesperson. If a salesperson's territory changes, you can simply merge the territories and customer information into one code.
• Merge/Change Customer Codes - Merge newly acquired customer branches into one by using the existing customer's code number. When a merge is made, the change will reflect in all associated data files throughout the solution.
