New Program to Promote Solution Usage, Enrich Relationships, and Foster Understanding
YARDLEY, PA, September 2, 2005 - With today's busy schedules and tight budgets, it's difficult for distributors to devote time, resources, and energy to networking and idea sharing.
Prophet 21 wants to help its customers create space for these activities with its new Online Idea Exchange Series. Designed to promote solution usage, enrich relationships, and foster better understanding, the series offers topics ranging from ways to improve how distributors can better use their solutions to better management tactics.
"We want to enhance communications with and among our customers," said Chuck Boyle, Prophet 21 president and CEO. "We want to give our customers the opportunity to network with each other throughout the year. We're doing this by offering an online meeting series that facilitates idea sharing with and among customers."
A Rare Look Into Others' Businesses
Because Online Idea Exchanges are held online - using the Internet and free, easy-to-use downloadable software - distributors don't have to worry about leaving the office to talk with peers.
Keith Putnam, information technology manager at Robinson Electric Supply Company, attended a recent sneak preview of an Online Idea Exchange: "It gave me a chance to compare notes with a lot of other distributors without leaving my desk," he said. "It's rare to be able to network like that these days because we're all so busy.
"You never realize what you might be missing out on," he continued. "Someone else always knows something that could offer your company a little more value. And you don't pick that kind of stuff up unless you work together."
