New Release Enhances Document Output Management (DOM) Capabilities

Yardley, PA, July 27, 2006 - Today, Activant® announced the availability of Stanpak version 8.01. Based on customer requests, the newest version of the UNIX-based enterprise software solution features an enhanced Document Output Management (DOM) program, as well as a multiple vendor cost feature.

Enhanced DOM Features:

  • Print a Range of Orders in Order Processing (OP): Reduce the time required to print multiple orders by using one DOM request to simultaneously print a range of orders.
  • Support for 12 Character per Inch Font: Print portrait style delivery tickets, invoices, or order acknowledgements in 12-point font.
  • Programs Available from DOM version of OP: Streamline internal processes and save your employees' time by accessing and navigating between the following programs without opening a new window:
    • Open Order Accounts Receivable Report (OARE)
    • Pack Item Report (OPL)
    • Cut Item Report (OCL)
    • Material Data Safety Pick List Print (MDSP)
  • Audit Report for Transmitted Documents: Track DOM progress at the conclusion of each print session and identify which orders, invoices, and customer statements have been printed, faxed, or e-mailed.
  • Exclude On-Account Dollars: Designed to facilitate the collection process, this feature gives you the option to either include or exclude on-account dollars from customer statements.
  • Print Tax ID: You now have the option to decide whether or not to print a tax ID on a DOM document. This streamlines the collection process by giving you the ability display whether or not you have collected the appropriate tax on a given sale, and reduces the time auditors spend at your office searching for untaxed sales.
  • Print Name Line on Delivery Tickets: By including a printed name line on your delivery tickets, you will always know who signed for every delivery.
  • E-mail and Fax Order Entry (OE) Acknowledgements: Improved functionality reduces paper and printing costs by allowing you to either fax or e-mail a DOM version of OE acknowledgements to customers. If you are not running DOM, you will be able to fax or e-mail a plain paper OE acknowledgement.
  • Signature Capture from Point of Delivery (POD) to Invoice Print: This feature automatically checks for a captured signature on any DOM invoice print or reprint forms, either printed, faxed, or e-mailed, and displays the signature when printing or reprinting the invoice.

  • Multiple Vendor Cost: Reflect the special conditions that occur when you have multiple vendors for a given item, by setting up more than one cost for an item in Item Maintenance (IM).
