New Release Helps Distributors Streamline Processes

YARDLEY, PA, November 1, 2004 - Prophet 21 announces the release of Prophet 21 Turns version 3000. This newest version of the UNIX-based enterprise software solution includes new features based on customer requests, including vendor invoice entry, rebate customer change extraction abilities, and many more.

With the help of Turns, Shared Service Systems, based in Omaha, NE, has been able to maintain tight control over their processes and immediate access to their information. With Turns 3000, Shared Service now completes jobs in a more effective and timely manner, while improving customer service. "Turns 3000 is helping us streamline our processes and access information more quickly and efficiently," recalls Dave Koraleski, vice president of Shared Service Systems.

The unit conversion feature under item maintenance has also helped Shared Services. "In the past, whenever we changed a unit of measure on a product, we would have to remove all the items off of standing orders," recalls Koraleski. "Now we can make a change and the change overrides all the orders. What used to take three hours, now takes 10 minutes."

In addition to the unit conversion feature, Turns 3000's ability to call up information and access reports has streamlined Shared Service Systems processes. "When looking for a certain report, you can go to a record and see where it was printed," says Koraleski. "Every time you print something, it makes a record in the system. Now you can go back in and reprint the report without rerunning it."
