Prophet 21 allows you to tag SKUs to better track and control product and streamline warehouse operations. A unit (tag) may consist of a few boxes, bags of product, or several pallets, with unique attributes like purchase order, manufacturerís lot, country of origin, quality levels, date, or internal lot number. When all of the attributes of a particular unit are the same, you can assign one tag number to identify them, making it easier for your warehouse workers to distinguish one group of products from another.

When you tag product with its quantity, Prophet 21 will direct your staff to pick items from locations with appropriate packaging types for a particular order. For example, if you stock a certain item in boxes of 500 and need to pick 531 pieces of the item, Prophet 21 will instruct your staff to pull the order from one full box and one partial box.

Plus, using Prophet 21 to tag groups of items simplifies radio frequency (RF) operations. When you move inventory, you simply gun the tag number, and the solution immediately identifies what products you are moving and to where you are moving them.
