A Method for Success

With Prophet 21, you can manage inventory at your customers' sites, whether it is your inventory or theirs. Consignment allows you to offer your customers an invaluable service - while retaining control over valuable inventory.

You start by setting up the customer location in your solution, which includes inventory management methods and bin locations. Then, you determine which items to stock at that location and transfer inventory to the location. Your customer uses the inventory, and, at intervals of your choice, you determine usage.

Prophet 21's ability to track item usage at the local level helps you get the right product in the right place to fulfill your customers' needs. Additionally, the solution captures information on inventory changes at different locations, allowing for accurate data when making purchasing decisions.

Remote Management

Prophet 21 supports Palm Order Entry, so your remote salespeople can upload customer-specific information from Prophet 21 to personal digital assistants (PDAs) before visiting customer sites. Then, while at the customer locations, they can record usage information in their PDAs, and simply upload the information into Prophet 21 at the end of the day.
