Activant's Trading Partner Connect B2B Marketplace provides relationship management tools that help distributors manage their Trading Partner Connect membership. Giving distributors the ability to create, establish, and manage secure trading relationships with manufacturers and other distributors, B2B Marketplace creates a common ground for distributors and manufacturers to buy and sell products and manage new and existing relationships. Members have complete control over pricing, product, and their partnerships in a secure environment.
Members can use the online directory to tell the community what type of distributor they are and seek out others with which they would like to trade. It allows you to explore new business opportunities by finding information about other members to see if your unique needs match theirs.
Rationalize
B2B Marketplace provides members a rationalized catalog with millions of items representing more than a thousand manufacturer lines. When you join Trading Partner Connect, your inventory is matched against this ever-growing catalog. Rationalization frees members from the tedious task of matching their item codes to those of their trading-partners'. B2B Marketplace acts as a translator, with everyone maintaining their own item codes. This rationalization process helps distributors streamline the sourcing process and occurs in real time.
Along with all of the other rationalization features offered by B2B Marketplace, custom document translation, or custom mapping, is available. With custom document translation, B2B marketplace will translate each item ordered into cases, pallets, or individual items. Custom document translation helps members create a one-to-one relationship bridging different nomenclature on electronic documents between partners. Members no longer have to perform custom mapping with each transaction. This saves distributors time and money.
Dead Stock
B2B Marketplace helps distributors reduce costly dead stock. With B2B Marketplace, members can see every distributor who has posted dead stock, as well as all vendor lines where it exists. Members choose what types of dead stock they would like to see and are taken to a screen that shows every distributor offering that particular product line.
Members can track how much dead stock they have posted. This information can be printed or emailed in real time. Sellers can receive a real-time e-mail alerting them immediately if a member performs a search for any dead stock items they have posted. The e-mail includes the item code, the quantity requested, the potential sale amount, the buyers name, e-mail address, and telephone number.
Reports And Alerts
B2B Marketplace offers members the opportunity to view statistical reports that analyze how well they are utilizing Trading Partner Connect. Accessed with the click of a button, reports arrive within 24 hours.
Essentially two reports in one, the data mining report includes a seller and buyer report. Members can see who they can sell dead stock to on an item-by-item basis and includes the contact information of each company buying dead stock, so members can follow-up to create and manage relationships. Additionally, the data mining reports shows members who they can buy items from based on buyers usage information. All information is kept confidential.
B2B Marketplace members can also receive customized user-specific e-mail alerts on any information they choose, including: purchase orders received, someone showing interest in dead stock, or new relationships. Common alerts are the purchase order receipt alert, which sends users an e-mail with the receipt of the purchase they have made. Users may also determine who is allowed to view alerts.
Streamline EDI
Along with reports and alerts, B2B Marketplace makes it easy for members to exchange business documents with the document imaging capabilities. Documents such as tax-exempts and credit applications can be released if you have established a relationship with another customer.
Additionally, B2B Marketplace fulfills relationship offers and replaces value added networks (VAN) within network members. With out of network members, B2B Marketplace greatly reduces VAN charges. B2B Marketplace also supports file transfer protocol (FTP) to customer or end users that do not have the technology to support a VAN.
